JCWS Audio Companion

What it does

Plays narrated audio of assigned readings for the Joint and Combined Warfighting School Joint Force Fundamentals course, organised by lesson. Each recording opens with the lesson number, the reading, the section and pages, and a short summary, then the reading itself.

Using it

• Tap a lesson to expand its readings; tap a reading to play.
• Tap the document icon on a row to read the source PDF. Audio keeps playing, and the player bar stays at the bottom of the screen with a speed control from 0.75× to 2×.
• Use the download arrow on a row, or the menu in the top right, to download a reading, a whole lesson, or everything for offline use. Swipe a row to delete a download; the menu deletes a lesson or all downloads at once.

Troubleshooting

The list is empty or shows an error. Pull down to refresh. If it persists, open Settings from the top-right menu and use “Test connection”.

A reading shows “Pending”. Its audio has not been published yet. Pull to refresh later; no app update is needed.

No sound. Check the silent switch and volume, and that another app has not taken over audio.
